ABOUT ME
Monica Carruth
I have had quite an exciting and diverse life, from spending my first years of life on a pig farm, riding horses and eating mud pies, to moving to the "big" city after my parent's divorce, to where I am today.
In college, I had the privilege of studying in Italy and visiting much of Europe and I would return to Europe after I graduated. When I reluctantly returned to the U.S. from Italy, I began what seemed to be a dream job at the time. I worked in the realm of professional rodeo as a writer traveling the country covering rodeo events and interviewing cowboys (yes, you can feel sorry for me, lol.) Once the "dream job" lost its luster, I went into sales while I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up.
In late 2000, I met my son's father and we married a few months later. Not long after we married, I became a mom to a baby boy. This was the DREAM JOB! I was in love with this blue-eyed angel and I had the amazing privilege of being a stay-at-home mom for his first several years of life.
After we divorced in 2008, I was blessed with an opportunity to that led me to the career in the non-profit world where I would flourish for the next 12 years.
In between then and now, I have had some pretty amazing experiences from travel to meeting truly impactful and influential people. I created unique memories as I have learned, grown, suffered heartache and slowly discovered myself, my strengths and my weaknesses.
In 2020, I moved to Evergreen, CO where I have returned to the non-profit world and working for an amazing organization serving those in need in our community.
I will continue to share my story and continue to pursue God's plan for me. My desire is to share some of my story to reach others and hopefully provide help, comfort or strength.
